Explore innovative design concepts for revitalising industrial land in Haringey through three mixed-use development options, maximising the potential for a small site. Our proposals aim to enhance employment opportunities while potentially unlocking space for new residential homes. We considered three different approaches:-
1. Mixed-Use Strategy
Retaining the site's employment designation while introducing residential flats on upper floors offers a dynamic solution. This approach creates vibrant street frontage with contemporary commercial units, aligning with local regeneration goals and housing targets.
2. Employment Focus
With a focus solely on employment uses, our design respects the site's industrial significance and may be the prefered solution for the Local Authority. This redevelopment option works within the existing commercial planning framework, significantly enhancing and expanding the current use of space and employment offer.
3. Residential Townhouses
Proposing a change of use to residential, this strategy addresses the area's housing needs and is specirfically aimed towards fgamily housing. It offers a compelling solution given the site's existing poor condition and positioning near established residential streets.
