Simon Kaufman Architects are pleased to developing the plannign applications and working with the contractor on construction information to convert this notable locally listed former bank on the High Street in Harpenden ino residential flats above two new retail units. 

The proposal will enhance the High Street Conservation Area by introducing 581sqm of new high-quality retail and residential floorspace, in a highly accessible location in the town centre.

Design proposals have been carefully considered to enhance the historic street scape, and to be in harmony with the character of the existing building. The proposal works within the constraints of the existing historic fabric to meet Building Regulations and best practice design guidance. Our intent is to help shape a vibrant and inclusive future for the town centre.
